Pinehill Sponsor the Comet Community Awards.
The annual Comet Community Awards are a way to offer readers the chance to salute and thank members of the local community who go the extra mile every day, but maybe don’t get the recognition they deserve. There were twelve categories in total ranging from Young Achiever and Charity Champion to Good Neighbour Award.
The Awards Ceremony
The awards ceremony took place on Friday 18th May at Hotel Cromwell in Stevenage Old Town, hosted by Sky Sports F1 commentator David Croft. A team from Pinehill Hospital attended the ceremony to present the award for Carer Of The Year. General Manager Chris Burrows presented the award to Elaine Kingston who has fostered 17 children, a well-deserved winner. Chris was supported on the night by Matron Karen Doyle, Private Patient Co-Ordinator Simone Barndard and Management PA Saffron Elleston. The team at Pinehill had a fabulous evening and were truly proud to be a part of the awards supporting the local community.
Karen Doyle, Matron said “It was a great opportunity for Pinehill to sponsor an award within the local community which reflects the Ramsay Way we so passionately believe in.”
The Comet said “There were amazing stories and amazing people at the Comet Community Awards, there were tears, there were cheers – it was an emotional night all round. It was a celebration of all that makes our part of the world the very best.”
