Reminder - Free Car Parking
Friday 23 September 2016
Pinehill Hospital in Hitchin continues to offer its patients and staff free parking on site in spite of increasing activity at the hospital and an increase in the services they offer.
Julie Quinn, the General Manager at Pinehill said "as Pinehill continues to grow, we want to ensure that patients have a 'stress free' experience when coming here. We have recently added six more spaces and secured twelve places at a nearby location for our staff. We want to give patients the best possible service and hopefully providing free parking gives them one less thing to worry about."
In September 2016, pay and display parking outside Stevenage’s Lister Hospital came into effect and yellow lines were introduced in neighbouring streets. These measures were brought in to try and ease parking congestion around the hospital. New and existing parking bays on Coreys Mill Lane and North Road will become pay and display and blue badge holders will no longer be able to park on double yellow lines. There will be yellow lines in some neighbouring residential streets too, including Tates Way, Chancellors Road, Herne Road and The Old Walled Garden. This move was initiated by local residents who have become increasingly concerned over the increased parking in local streets.
