£36,000 Investment - new exciting arrival at Pinehill
We have just taken delivery of a brand new state of the Art
Digital CTCB unit (Cone Beam CT Dental Unit). The machine will help
Dentists and Doctors to assess problems with the teeth and
jaws.
The benefits of our (very shiny!) new machine are:
- Instant Diagnostic Images.
- Better, clearer image, because of the better field of view, we
can see more anatomical structures that enable more precise and
extensive diagnosis.
- Top of the range area sensor – acceptable beam size but with a
very wide view.
- Sharper images – superior quality. The unit has special
software algorithms which extract the sharp information from the
resulting image giving you a superior panoramic image with the same
radiation dose as a standard digital panoramic machine.
- Stitching Program’ joins images together. Stitching program
shows a wider image by automatically merging two or three localized
volumes. This program is useful in multiple implant treatment
cases.
The Pax Flex 3D Unit enables us to provide a thorough dental
examination giving a broad overview of the entire bony structure of
the teeth and face. It takes a much wider area then any intra oral
film, showing structures outside of their range. It shows many
pathological structures such as bony tumours and cysts as well as
the position of wisdom teeth. With benefits of image quality,
instant exposure, this form of digital radiography enhances all
aspects of practice and patient experience. All in all it is a very
impressive piece of technology and we are thrilled to welcome it to
